Design and Testing of a Directional Clamping and Reverse Breaking Device for Corn Straw

Realizing high-quality and increased production of fresh corn promoting diversified development the industry structure not only can effectively promote agricultural economy, but also enrich people’s dietary culture. However, existing machinery has a high rate ear damage during harvesting process, overall efficiency is ideal. To reduce corn, device for breaking ears was designed based on directional clamping straw reverse method. Based physico-mechanical characteristics parameters ears, main structural conveying mechanism ear-breaking were determined. The inclination angle 15°, effective length 550 mm; ear-snapping comprises snapping roll composed pair six radial distribution function fingers, with an operating radius 320 mm. By simulating analyzing movement straw, key motion parameter ranges obtained. results bench test showed that under optimal conditions feeding speed 1.67 m/s, wheel 80 rpm, travel 1.06 lowest 0.57%, impurity 1.87%. In addition, it observed flexible improve harvest quality. study found actively applying force to avoid problem machine blockage (the following text uses instead ears).
